GlobalWafers has booked out all its 2018 capacity across 16 plants, says Hsu.

To meet demand it will run all 16 plants 365 days next year which will inrease output by 7%.

GlobalWafers’ China partner Ferrotec has built a 100,000 8” wpm plant in Shanghai which is capable of expansion to 150k wpm and has built another plant in Hangzhou capable of outputting 300k 8”wpm by the end of 2019.
