The KEMET capacitor ranges target new generation power electronics used for alternative energy applications, while the automotive grade series AEC-Q200 qualification requirements.

KEMET’s patented high reliability base metal electrode (BME) dielectric system is 100% Pb-free, RoHS compliant and REACH compliant without exemptions.

The devices boast industry-leading CV values, high volumetric capacitance with low leakage current and high thermal stability. Low inductance and ESR versus frequency allows for very high ripple current capability.

Available case sizes are 2824, 3040, 3640, and 4540 available to increase capacitance up to 150 nF with voltages up to 2,000V. A SnPb-plated termination finish option is available upon request (5% Pb min).

Applications for KEMET High Voltage C0G ceramic capacitors include switch-mode power supplies, high voltage coupling and DC blocking, lighting ballasts, voltage multiplier circuits, DC/DC converters and coupling capacitors in Cuk converters.
