So far most of the shots we’ve seen have been renders, but now some new images of the OnePlus 3 in the flesh have been revealed, courtesy of twitter tipster @the_malignant.
The shots show a gray model of the phone in a transparent case and line up with what we’ve seen elsewhere, including a metal shell, an oblong home button and antenna bands along the top and bottom of the back.
Notably there’s no OnePlus logo, suggesting that this is a pre-release model, but it looks slightly more inspiring than the one other leaked live shot of the handset we’ve seen.
Spoiling the surprise
These images don’t reveal anything new and, as always, could be fake, but given that they look like what we’ve seen before and we’re so close to launch there’s a good chance they’re accurate.
We’ll know for sure soon and hopefully OnePlus will still be able to surprise us, despite the design and the specs (which apparently include a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 820 processor and a 16MP camera) seemingly having been leaked in full.
But if nothing else the OnePlus 3 is shaping up to be another great value flagship and seeing the announcement in VR – and allowing those viewing early access to buy the new handset as well.
