OnePlus 3 specs and design get almost officially outed

The OnePlus 3 has been heavily leaked across the internet and while leaks and rumors often end up being wrong or flat out made up a new leak that’s unlikely to be wrong has emerged, revealing not just the design of the phone but an almost complete specs listing.

The information, which was spotted by Android Central, comes straight from TENAA (China’s regulatory agency), so short of hearing something from OnePlus itself this is up there with the more official sources of information.

According to the listing the OnePlus 3 has a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 screen, a 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 16MP camera on the back, an 8MP one on the front and a 3000mAh battery. It’s also said to be running Android Marshmallow, likely with OxygenOS over the top.

Seems believable

Those specs largely line up with what we’ve heard before, though some rumors pointed to a larger 3500mAh battery and 6GB of RAM, both of which are still possible if OnePlus launches two different configurations of the phone.

OnePlus 3 TENAA

As well as specs the TENAA listing also includes images of the OnePlus 3, which show a metal handset with an HTC 10-like design, that matches an earlier leaked render. According to the TENAA listing it comes in at 152.6 x 74.6 x 7.3mm and 160g, which would make it a similar size to the OnePlus 2, but quite a lot slimmer and slightly lighter.

While we still wouldn’t take anything as gospel until it’s come direct from OnePlus, this is close enough to official that it’s likely to be accurate. It doesn’t include any release date information, but OnePlus itself may have leaked that, with June 14 looking likely.
