Boeing continued the momentum for its new 737 Max 10 single-aisle jet, while Airbus, ATR, Bombardier and Embraer also announced more deals with total orders valued at $55.5 billion.

Boeing landed a string of new deals for its 737 Max and 787 Dreamliner aircraft at the Paris Air Show on Tuesday, bringing orders and options to 696 planes worth $41 billion, though customers routinely negotiate discounts.

Airbus also won lucrative promises for 122 of its A320neo family worth $10.5bn.

Canada’s Bombardier Inc. announced that it had secured a letter of intent from India’s Spicejet for 50 Q400 turboprop aircraft worth up to $1.7bn. The order comes a day after the Montreal-based company signed deals with Philippine Airlines for seven Q400s and Ethiopian Airlines for five Q400s, bringing its two-day sales to $2.1bn.

Brazilian planemaker Embraer booked orders for 48 planes in deals totalling about $1.6bn, including orders for 20 of its new fly-by-wire E195-E2 airliners, worth $1.3bn.

France’s ATR only recorded one order on Tuesday with Air Senegal, the new Senegalese national airline, signing a firm contract for two ATR 72-600s worth $56 million. It brings ATR’s order book to 15 aircraft worth around $300m.
