For Q4, Intel had revenue of $16.4 billion, operating of $4.5 billion, net income of $3.6 billion.
The PC business grew 2% in 2016;
Thee data centre business grew 8% to $17.2 billion;
The IoT group grew 15% to $2.6 billion;
The memory group shrank 1% to $2.6 billion;
The security group grew 9% to $2.2 billion;
The programmables group (Altera) recorded revenue of $1.7 billion – flat with 2015, the year Intel bought it, and below its 2011 peak revenue of $2.06 billion.
Intel’s gross margin was 60.9%. R&D and MG&A cost $21.1 billion.
Intel expects revenues to be flat in 2017 with the gross margin up 2% at 62%.
It expects to spend $400 million on restructuring and ‘other’ charges in 2017.
