Broadcom has lowered its bid from $82 a share to $79 a share making its bid now worth $140 billion compared with the previous bid worth $145 billion.
Earlier this week Qualcomm raised its bid for NXP from $110 per share to $127.50 per share increasing the value of its bid from $39 billion to $44 billion.
However, if Qualcomm drops its bid for NXP, Broadcom’s original $82 offer for Qualcomm will still stand.
Broadcom says all other conditions on the bid remain the same.
On March 6th Qualcomm shareholders vote on whether to give six Broadcom-nominated
