Mouser Infineon ProFet Arduino shield

Called the Protected Switch Shield, it is also compatible with the firm’s own XMC microcontroller kits which borrow the Arduino form factor.

The shield runs from 8-36V and provides a driver circuit with logic level inputs, load diagnosis and current sense.

The power switches are designed to drive resistive, capacitive, and inductive loads such as automotive bulbs, valves, and supply switches for motors using dc or PWM up to 400Hz.

Infineon ProFetIt has three protected high-side DMOS power mosfets – 2x BTT6030-2EKA and one BTT6020-1EKA  – see diagram – five 24V channels at 4 or 5A total).

Protection is against: overload, over-voltage, short-circuit, excessive temperature, ground loss, power supply loss, and electrostatic discharge, as well as dynamic over-voltage such as load dump and inductive load turn-off.

The Protected Switch Shield is being stocked by Mouser Electronics.
