The best Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL deals in November 2017

Google’s quest to build a smartphone as popular as the latest iPhone and Samsung Galaxy took a massive step forward when the original Google Pixel launched last year. Its successor – the aptly named Google Pixel 2 – is now on the shelves.

The Pixel 2 is a phone for Android lovers who want the purist interface on the market – even if it does only look like an incremental update from the original Pixel. But it’s substantially more affordable than the likes of the Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone X, making it an obvious choice if you want a brand new flagship phone without paying stupid money.

And then there’s the supersized Pixel 2 XL as well, with its fantastic 6-inch QHD+ display. Read on to see exactly how much you’ll have to pay for your choice of new Google phone with our Pixel deals comparison chart.

The best Google Pixel 2 deals in the UK today:

We’ve scoured the UK’s networks and retailers to home in on the best Pixel 2 deals. You can get the new Google smartphone on O2, Vodafone or EE – the choice is yours…

Google Pixel 2 | Vodafone | £75 upfront (with £10 off code) | 4GB data | Unlimited mins and texts | £27pm
When the Pixel 2 opened for pre-orders in October, there were scarcely any overall prices for less than a grand to recommend. A month on and you can get 4GB of data for almost as little as £700 for the two year term. This Vodafone tariff is the cheapest way that you can currently own the Pixel 2 on contract. It’s a really fantastic price. Total cost over 24 months is £723

Google Pixel 2 | O2 | £100 upfront (with 10OFF code) | Unlimited calls and texts | 12GB data | £29pm
We reckon that this has got to be the best value Google Pixel 2 tariff at the moment. You can get it a tad cheaper elsewhere, but the 12GB of data that you get here makes this deal a real bargain. It’s a nicely balanced tariff as well, with handsome monthly payments and £100 upfront if you use our exclusive 10OFF code. Lovely stuff. Total cost over 24 months is £796

Google Pixel 2 | EE | £9.99 upfront (with £10 off code) | 15GB data | Unlimited mins and texts | £37.99pm
We’ve picked out this 15GB data deal as our favourite on the UK’s fastest 4G network. There’s barely anything to pay upfront and the monthly bills are perfectly acceptable for a phone this new. Well worth a look for those needing internet surfing away from the Wi-Fi, as you’ll also be on the UK’s fastest 4G network. Total cost over 24 months is £921.75

The best Google Pixel 2 XL deals in the UK today:

Want that bigger QHD+ screen? Go for the Pixel 2 XL instead if you plan to use your phone to stream films and TV. But you’d better be prepared to pay for the privilege – the price really shoots up, as there are fewer retailers competing on price.

Google Pixel 2 XL | O2 | £140 upfront (with 10OFF code) | 3GB data | Unlimited mins and texts | £40pm
This is an excellent early Pixel 2 XL deal on O2 (so you get those tasty Priority rewards) that gives you 3GB of data to surf, stream and download with every month. Our exclusive 10OFF code from brings the overall price down to a straight £1,100 for the two year term – just about the cheapest you can pay right now on a big network. Total cost over 24 months is £1100

Google Pixel 2 XL | Vodafone | £140 upfront | 16GB data | Unlimited mins and texts | £44pm
In terms of value, we’d venture that this is better than the O2 deal above. An extra £4 on your monthly bill gives you an additional 11GB of data. 16GB is often a sweet spot for Vodafone, and this is no different. It’s so much freedom in terms of using the internet away from Wi-Fi without the constant worry of whether you’re exceeding your allowance. Total cost over 24 months is £1196

Google Pixel 2 XL | EE | £115 upfront (with 10OFF code) | 25GB data | Unlimited mins and texts | £47.99pm
There’s no such thing as unlimited data with EE on the Pixel 2 XL, but 25GB will be more than enough for most people and on the UK’s fastest 4G network, too. It would take some serious streaming and downloading to top out. Don’t forget to pop in that 10OFF code to save a tenner. Total cost over 24 months is £1266.76

Google Pixel 2 deals for SIM-free: how much does the phone cost?

Get out your calculator and dust off the abacus – if you want to bag the very best price on the Pixel 2 then buying the handset outright and combining it with a SIM only deal may save you some £s.

The Pixel 2 costs £629 and the Pixel 2 XL will be £799. Considering that the cheapest SIM out there costs a mere £3.99 per month, that’s less than £100 for the two year term and so will potentially give you plenty of change from £750 over two years if you go down that road. That’s a pretty decent saving on the first set of prices to filter through.

Google Pixel 2 review in brief

Amazing Android, especially for photo lovers

Screen size: 5-inches | Resolution: 1080 x 1920 | Rear camera: 12MP | Weight: 143g | OS: Android 8 Oreo | RAM: 4GB | Storage: 64GB/128GB | External storage: No | Battery: 2700mAh

Market leasing cameras

Clean Android interface

Water resistant

Lots of bezel

There’s no doubt that the Pixel 2 is one of the very finest Android phones out there, but the Pixel’s successor is a familiar story of incremental improvements rather than whole-scale change. The feature that might just get you buying are the top-of the-line cameras for photos and video. While the delightful screen, great-sounding speakers and slick Android operating system will all appeal to a range of smartphone users.
