CES: Ericsson, 20th Century Fox and BMW talk 5G

At CES 2017, Ericsson will give its view of how 5G technology will create a truly “connected world”. Titled: “Stoked About 5G” this will be presented by Ericsson on Thursday 5th January. Speakers will include:

  • Hanno Basse, CTO, 20th Century Fox Film.
  • Alex Choi, CTO, EVP and Head of Corporate R&D Center, SK Telecom
  • Dr. Fathi El-Dwaik, Vice President, Information and Communication Electronics, BMW Group
  • Ulf Ewaldsson, Sr. VP, Chief Strategy and Technology Officer, Ericsson.

Ericsson is working with 20th Century Fox’s R&D centre on technologies to support the distribution of 360° audio/video, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), and 4K Ultra-HD with High Dynamic Range content over any platform, device or network.

The CES Conference Program will highlight the latest developments in connected mobility with topics including Self Driving Technology, IoT, Smart Cities, Digital Health and 5G, as well as a keynote from Qualcomm CEO Steve Mollenkopf, who will discuss the worldwide impact of 5G.

The exhibition will also see the launch of mobile products and services by: Huawei, Qualcomm, Sprint, Verizon, Samsung, LG, TCL, ZTE Blackberry and Nokia.
