According to Jim Nicholas, executive vice-president, MIPS Processor IP, Imagination, says the use of hardware multi-threading technology allows developers to efficiently exploit inherent parallelism in their workloads.
Typical embedded applications for the 64-bit MIPS CPUs are digital home, automotive, AI, real-time embedded and networking equipment.
William E. Lamie, president, Express Logic, writes:
“Companies looking for a safe, secure, fast and compact operating system for MIPS CPUs can rely on our ThreadX and ThreadX/SMP RTOSes to provide the performance and features they need to succeed.”
The RTOS has more than 5.4 billion deployments to-date, says Express Logic.
Both Imagination and Express Logic will be at Embedded World at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre this week.
