CDBurnerXP

CDBurnerXP lets you create and burn audio and data CDs and DVDs. It copes well with Blu-rays, and can deal with all majpr audio formats.

You can also create ISO images and bootable discs, and your discs are checked automatically after burning.

Why you need it

As you’ve probably guessed from the name, CDBurnerXP is a CD-burning app for Windows. But what it’s obvious from the name is that it’s a very good and deceptively powerful app too.

Windows’ lack of decent disc burning has been a pain for years, and CDBurnerXP addresses the problem beautifully.

You can use it as a backup app or to make music CDs, to burn your home movies to DVD or create MP3 CDs for compatible players, create music CDs from M3U or WPL playlists, and fully erase rewritable data discs. Not bad for something that’s completely free of charge for both personal and commercial use.
